Crew members serve to restore degraded habitats throughout the City of Green Bay parks, trails, and greenways by invigorating pollinator habitat, improving flood mitigation, and making ecosystems more resilient through invasive species control and native plantings.
Opportunity description
Join the City of Green Bay to enhance the Green Bay Parks and Greenways through an AmeriCorps program. Conservation Corps members are responsible for restoration efforts including the following: 20% Trail maintenance, 25% Native plantings and maintenance, 25% Habitat restoration, 10% Volunteer and education outreach, 10% Training and job development, 10% Mapping and survey efforts. There are as many as 10 openings for this position

Requirements
Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds. frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. ability to focus for long period of time on projects. ability to work in varied environmental conditions. High school diploma.
Preferred qualifications
