Project summary
Support Clean Rivers Education Classroom and the Community Watershed Stewardship Program at the City of Portland, Environmental Services Bureau to increase environmental education and community engagement.
Opportunity description
Support Clean Rivers Educators. Independently lead small groups of students in field science activities. Conduct outreach with community groups and support community stewardship projects.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Interest and experience working with youth. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather. Experience with diverse populations. Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred qualifications
Ability to speak a language other than English. Reside in a low-income community or community of color in Portland. Interest/experience in natural resources, stormwater management, and/or environmental science. Familiarity with the region. Experience with data collection, data entry, and GIS.
