Project summary
The Community Stewardship Coordinator will work with Tualatin Riverkeepers’ Volunteer and Restoration Manager to recruit and train volunteers, establish partnerships with land management agencies, lead volunteer trainings, and schedule and manager habitat restoration and stewardship projects at sites throughout the watershed.
Opportunity description
Outreach with schools, businesses, and community events. Identify opportunities to recruit volunteers. Work with current and new partners to plan and implement habitat restoration projects. Train new habitat restoration and outreach volunteers. Organize habitat restoration projects with individual and group volunteers. Work closely with TRK staff to coordinate events such as Watershed Science and Tualatin River Discovery Day.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Interest in environmental education and habitat restoration. Comfort interacting with diverse audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in all seasons. Willingness/openness to learn about and discuss racial equity and social justice issues.
Preferred qualifications
Comfort in public speaking. Canva or graphic design experience. Social media content creation. Event planning experience.
