Project summary
Climate Impact Corps builds the capacity of nonprofits, public agencies, and institutions of higher education to implement climate resilience projects that meet local needs. Members implement a service plan unique to their site that aligns with the goals of Minnesota’s Climate Action Framework or the climate action plan of a Minnesota tribal nation. Climate Impact Corps engages members of all ages who share a passion for advancing localized climate solutions.
Opportunity description
Climate Impact Project Coordinators serve across the state of Minnesota with a host organization where they plan, coordinate, and execute climate resilience projects based on a site-specific service plan. The services provided by Project Coordinators include one or more of the following: Community engagement, outreach, and communication, Research, data collections, and analysis, Coordination of site-specific projects and process improvement, Volunteer recruitment and mobilization, and Workforce development.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
18 years old. High School diploma or equivalent. citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States. National Service Criminal History Check. speak, read, and write English fluently, computer skills. Some positions require: valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check. ability to sit, stand, and operate a computer and telephone. light to moderate lifting, kneeling, carrying and use of hand tools up to 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather for up to 8 hours
Preferred qualifications
Ability to take initiative. organize workload. and manage multiple projects with limited direction. Demonstrated ability to build strong. trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders. including colleagues. program participants. community members. and external partners. Some positions prefer proficiency in a language(s) other than English.
