Project summary
The activities will primarily focus around vegitation managmeent activities such as invasive species management, native plant management, surveying and data collection. Facility management activities will consist of routine maintenance, minor carpentry, reporting, and some general natural resource management activities.
Opportunity description
The intern will assist with resource management activities including treating and documenting invasive plants, monitoring vegetation, managing Lemhi penstemon, spreading native seeds, and planting seedlings. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on grounds, structures, and equipment, including carpentry, painting, and plumbing. Handle shipments, maintain picnic areas and trails, operate a light truck, clean facilities, and refer complex issues to higher-grade workers.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Driver's license, Personal vehicle required. Able to carry a 30 lb backpack. Willing to work independently and on a crew. Must be eligible to serve as an AmeriCorps Member, which includes: Being a citizen, permanent resident, or national of the United States; Being at least 18 years or older; Having a high school diploma or equivalent; Being willing to undergo National Service Criminal History Check, including criminal background, sex offender and FBI checks.
