Project summary

Assist the newly formed Missouri Conservation Corps with its volunteer recruitment efforts in Columbia, MO for their work of environmental stewardship of community green spaces. The member will help expand the reach of 1) Missouri Conservation Corps programs to reach low-income youth with opportunities to participate in ecological restoration projects in their community and 2) programs to serve low-income areas within Columbia.

Opportunity description

Join the efforts of the newly formed Missouri Conservation Corps in Columbia, Missouri, to help build the reach of their environmental stewardship projects in Columbia. Assist with creating volunteer recruitment materials, training volunteers, and reaching new groups with opportunities to improve community green spaces. Help build the capacity of the Missouri Conservation Corps to reach low income youth with environmental service and increase environmental stewardship in underserved areas.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements

Ability to work in outside conditions (i.e. community parks)

Preferred qualifications

Proficient in the use of computers and basic software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience speaking to small groups; Knowledge of social media platforms and interest in social media marketing.
