Project summary
Eco3 is a community-based organization that works at the intersection of energy, equity, and economic vitality. Energy Training Corps is a direct service program serving as a step into energy efficiency, sustainability, or the trades. Members contribute to home energy efficiency and gain skills in the field of energy conservation. Members are trained to conduct home energy assessments and implement weatherization, helping to reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills for low-income families.
Opportunity description
In this position, you will 1. Learn and apply techniques to conduct comprehensive home energy assessments, including the use of diagnostic tools to identify areas of energy loss and inefficiency 2. Gain hands-on experience in weatherization practices such as air sealing, insulation installation, and other measures to improve home energy performance 3. Educate homeowners about energy-saving practices and the benefits of weatherization, providing guidance and resources to support their efforts and more!

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
High school diploma/GED. At least 18 years old. Capable of participating in physical labor including but not limited to lifting 50 lbs, conducting repetitive hand, arm, and leg motions, and maneuvering in tight spaces. Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, and community service. Basic math skills.
Preferred qualifications
Some college coursework or vocational training is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual Spanish-speaking applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
