Opportunity description

Education and Volunteer Coordinators, part of the Arizona Climate Resiliency Corps, are essential members of the City of Flagstaff Sustainability Office. These positions work closely with program managers to empower community members to be stewards of the environment through education, outreach, service-learning opportunities, workshops, and community events. This will include program outreach, event planning, and collaboration with community partners across the Neighborhood Engagement and Volunteer Services Section.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements

Proficiency in using multi-media forms of communication such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Conference Calling, and similar platforms. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Valid state driver's license. Experience working with or coordinating volunteers.

Preferred qualifications

Degree, college courses, or experience in environmental studies, horticulture, ecology, natural resources, or outdoor/environmental education. Volunteer recruitment and management.
