Project summary

Serve with a national social impact organization dedicated to helping communities shrink the time between disaster and recovery by rebuilding homes, increasing preparedness and resilience, and improving systems to better serve the needs of all Americans, everywhere. Spend 10 months with SBP as an AmeriCorps member and rebuild homes, repair lives, and fortify families in need. Play a key role in coordinating services and contributing to recovery for disaster-affected communities.

Opportunity description

Serve as a pivotal part in response efforts immediately following the impact of natural disasters. Being first on the ground post-disaster, Disaster Corps Project Leads provide services such as assessments, debris clean up, muck and gut, volunteer coordination, mold remediation, and trainings to impacted residents.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements

COVID Vaccinated. 17 years of age or older. HS High School diploma or equivalent required. Citizen or lawful permanent resident alien of the US.

Preferred qualifications

Willingness to travel; strong skills communicating to diverse audiences; problem-solving skills; professional demeanor
